At River of Life we value the importance of preparing carefully and completely for marriage.

In order to ensure that the months leading up to the wedding are seamlessly smooth, there are certain requirements that need to be met:

Requirements for Marriage Preparation:

1. Check with Home Affairs to confirm your current marital status.
2. Contact Sharmain Joubert 016 982 3022 / sharmain@riveroflife.co.za  to arrange for Pre-Marriage Course which is a prerequisite to getting married in River of Life
3. Make an appointment with the Pastor that will be marrying you and your spouse by contacting Sharmain Joubert 016 982 3022 / sharmain@riveroflife.co.za.
4. Complete the Marriage preparation document which is obtainable by contacting Sharmain Joubert 016 982 3022 / sharmain@riveroflife.co.za

Documentation required when we meet

• 2 x certified copies of your ID’s (Both Partners)
• 2 x certified copies of your witness’s ID’s (2 witnesses required over age of 21)
• 2 x Recent photograph’s of the couple getting married
• 1 x Copy of divorce / death certificate (where applicable)

Terms and Conditions:

1. Only members of River of Life will be married by Pastors from River of Life.
2. Fees:
   R500 for the Pastor conducting the ceremony. Payment may be made via EFT, with the  Pastor's name as a reference;  or paid in cash at the Financial Office.

River of Life Prayer Cells

We have a Prayer cell that meet every Sunday at the church from 17:30. Anyone is welcome to join in. If you would like to join one of the prayer cells please contact Paul & Elize Holtshauzen 082 804 0311 / 084 504 4387

Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways.

If you would like to dedicate your baby:

1. Obtain the correct forms from the church office
2. Email a current photo of the child
3. Attend the Baby dedication class

A water baptism is a symbolic burial, by which a new or growing believer publicly declares they have died to self and the ways of the world, and are now beginning a new life, in Christ.

Membership classes run over two Sunday afternoons 14:00 – 17:00. This is to introduce new members to the church and to share our vision.

A copy on CD can also be bought at the Information Desk on a Sunday. CD’s are R20 each; no orders will be taken without payment.

Ten copies are made on a Sunday morning; thereafter CD’s need to be ordered and will then be available the following week.
